A. You want to read
something full of Witt.
B. You want to
overcome reading slump.
C. You want a quick
read.
▪
The importance of
being Earnest written in the form of a play, is a trivial comedy for serious
people.
▪
The story revolves
around Earnest. Now, Earnest is not just a single person. Algernon Montcrieff,
John Worthing and John Worthing’s imaginary brother are all Earnest. No one
named ‘Earnest’ exists in actual. It was just created by Algernon Montcrieff
and John Worthing in order to impress women who simply admire the name
‘Earnest’.
▪
But the lies can not
be hidden for a longer period of time. In the book as well, the lies start to
unravel.
▪
In my opinion, it was
an entertaining read full of Witt and sarcasm and I enjoyed reading it.
